moffat and gatiss wanting to do this low-key gay sherlock adaptation where john wears a leather jacket, sherlock is a twink and they basically start off the second episode with them getting out of bed together and going on a case as if nothing happened, but then ben stephenson came and told them, ‘we’ll give you more money but let’s take it slowly let’s do a slow-burn romance’ and now gatiss is like ‘why did we agree to this now we’re trapped in this gay johnlock hell what is this’ while moffat just cries silently into a pillow and sobs ‘i just wanted them to be happy, i just wanted them to get married’ and comes up with increasingly more ridiculous lies and increasingly blatant ways of writing his married johnlock kink into doctor who without anyone noticing
