How does Sybok fit in?

Someone asked me if i know the timeline of Sybok with regards to Michael and Spock, and I did not so I looked a bunch up and did this. I find such joy in putting these together, I have like 6 tabs open on wiki pages for the characters to figure out what happened when.

There’s not much canon info about Sybok, so where there are no hard facts I used the accepted fanon verse timeline.

In 2224 Sybok is born [ref]

In 2226 Michael is born [ref]

In 2230 Spock is born [ref]

There’s no specific date for Michael to join the family yet, but she looks about 9 or so in the Discovery flashbacks so I’m gonna say ballpark 2235

Sybok and Spock apparently have an in depth conversation about emotion a year in to Sybok living with them (Sybok was crying on the anniversary of his mums death), so Spock was at least 5 or so, cos he could speak and think. So I’m saying after 2235 is when Sybok joins the Sarek clan. So Michael was adopted first.  

There’s no clear timeline on when Sybok leaves and commits to his revolution, but he was clearly going to the whole time, he is emotional throughout it. I suspect he didn’t spend much time under Sarek’s roof, perhaps 6 or 7 years. I reckon he left well before the rush to join Starfleet occured.

Essentially, Sarek and Amanda managed to put together the most emotional house on Vulcan in the mid-late 2230s

In 2245 Michael joins the Vulcan Science Academy, finished top of her class in ‘49 and is refused entry to the Vulcan Expeditionary Group

In 2249, Michael joined Starfleet [ref]

In 2249, Spock joined Starfleet  [ref]

By 2254 Spock was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise under Pike [ref]

2256 Star Trek Discovery takes place  [ref]

2269–2270 Star Trek TOS takes place [ref]

In 2287 Sybok reemerges and the events of Trek V Final Frontier play out [ref]

So, basically, Spock is with his parents from 2230 – 2249

Michael is there from roughly 2235 – 2249

Sybok is around for some period of time between 2235 – 2245, if I’m reading things right.

So the three of them lived together for some time!
