I DON’T CARE IF SHERLOCK THINKS MARY DIDN’T WANT HIM DEAD AND EVERYTHING SHE DID WAS ON PURPOSE
HE FLATLINED
HE FUCKING FLATLINED AND SHE COULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN HE WOULD MAKE IT THROUGH
DO NOT GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT
SHE COULD HAVE SHOT HIM IN THE…
Please tell me you’re didn’t just write that. Please. I’d love to think that people actually had more respect for me than reducing me to someone incapable of understanding a complex show beyond the mind of a misogynistic fool. Please.
I have Moriarty as my avatar because I like him as a villain. I’m quite sure that has nothing to do whatsoever with this discussion (I probably would have liked him even more if he were portrayed by a woman, though- provided the actress was as talented at it as AS).
This has nothing to do with Mary being a woman. I simply don’t like her. I don’t like her actions and I feel like we were given very little material to work with to warm up to her after her identity was revealed (Probably for a reason but let’s not get into that).
I… I don’t even know how to reply properly to this because I keep going off-topic so I’ll keep it at this:
If you think I don’t like Mary because she’s a woman, I have very little hope for you. I know people have a way of turning everything into a feminist issue and despite identifying as one, I am sick of it. I would like to be allowed to dislike a character openly without being labeled as shallow and… I don’t even know. Stupid, I suppose.
I’m sincerely sorry for posting an opinion, like I mentioned in a reply, I shouldn’t have tagged it anyway.
I just don’t think the responses I got are fair and I’m kind of sad that everything always has to come down to this.
